Frequently asked questions about ceramic mosaic tiles (FAQ):

What is the difference between ceramic mosaic and porcelain stoneware?
Ceramic mosaic is easier to work with and ideal for walls. Porcelain stoneware is better suited for heavily used floors.

Are ceramic mosaics slip-resistant?
Some of our products are slip-resistant (R10) and therefore ideal for wet areas.

Can I use ceramic mosaic outdoors?
In protected areas, yes – please refer to the product description.

How is ceramic mosaic installed?
Most types are bonded to a mesh and are easy to cut and install.

Do you also deliver to my region?
Yes – whether it's Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, or your region – we deliver quickly and reliably throughout Europe.

Can the mosaic mesh be cut to size?
Yes, the mosaics bonded to a mesh can be easily cut on the back with a sharp utility knife or scissors – ideal for precise adjustments to corners, edges, or recesses.

How do you cut individual mosaic tiles?
For precise cuts of individual ceramic mosaics, we recommend an angle grinder with a thin diamond cutting disc or a tile cutter with a guide rail. Mosaic pliers can also be used for smaller formats.

Can ceramic mosaics be glued to existing tiles?
Yes, provided the surface is stable, clean, and free of grease. A primer also ensures a firm bond.

How do you prevent the mesh from showing through?
Use light-colored, evenly applied adhesive beds. A light-colored primer also prevents unsightly bleed-through effects.

What tools do I need to install mosaics?

Craft knife or scissors (for mesh)
Angle grinder with diamond disc (for stone)
Notched trowel with fine teeth (e.g., 3x3 mm)
Tile spacers or joint control system
Grouting board and sponge float
